Lagos - Minister of State for Foreign Affairs 2, Musiliu Obanikoro has faulted the results of last Saturday’s governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in Lagos State.
He faulted the results via his Twitter handle @MObanikoro on Tuesday.
He wondered why the number of votes cast in the gubernatorial election outnumbered that of the presidential election despite the fact that fewer people came out to vote in the governorship election.
He stated that people should not misconstrue his congratulatory message to Akinwunmi Ambode of the Al Progressives Congress (APC) to mean that the election in Lagos was free and fair.
He noted that he did that in the larger interest of Lagos State.
He urged the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi and other APC party leaders to emulate him in the larger interest of Nigeria.
